Measles cases are popping up across the United States, including an outbreak in Texas that has led to the death of a child.

The population is spread out among 3.8 million square miles across 50 states, yet nearly one-third of Americans live in just three states: California, Texas and New York.

More than 120 counties in Texas, nearly half of the state, is under an extreme cold watch or warning this week.
