Trump Marks Return to Office by Waving a Sword Around to ‘YMCA’
President Donald Trump danced with a military sword to The Village People’s disco hit “Y.M.C.A.” hours after being sworn into office Monday. Trump and Vice President JD Vance—along with their spouses—were on stage at the Commander-in-Chief Ball for a ceremonial cake-cutting as they toured inaugural balls across Washington after taking their oaths of office as the 47th president and 50th vice president.

Speaking to military members after his first dance with Melania after being inaugurated, the president vowed to rebuild the military. A soldier lent him and Vance a sword, which they used to cut an elaborate cake.

Melania and their son Barron also joined Trump on the dance floor, further adding to the spectacle.
