Katy Perry is going to space. The award-winning "E.T." and "Firework" singer will fly on a firework of her own when she joins the first all-female crew to launch on a Blue Origin New Shepard rocket later this year.

Pop star Katy Perry will blast off into space as part of an upcoming all-women flight on Blue Origin's New Shepherd rocket. The Firework singer will be joined by Blue Origin owner Jeff Bezos's fiancee Lauren Sanchez,

"The NS-31 mission is historic as it marks the first crewed space mission composed entirely of women since Valentina Tereshkova's solo flight in 1963."
