The Miami Heat reportedly suspended embattled forward Jimmy Butler on Wednesday evening after missing a team flight. Heat fans were, shall we say, not too pleased. A significant portion of the fanbase took to X (formerly Twitter) and expressed their frustration with Butler,

1o:35pm: The Heat have issued a statement ( via Twitter) regarding Butler’s suspension: “We have suspended Jimmy Butler for two games for continued pattern of disregard of team rules, insubordinate conduct and conduct detrimental to the team, including missing today’s team flight to Milwaukee.”

In his current standoff with the Heat front office ( read: Pat Riley ), Miami attempted to avoid the “burn everything down” portion by suspending Butler seven games for conduct detrimental to the team ( read: attempting to force a trade ).
