One of the first official moves of the 2025 NFL season is the release of Aaron Rodgers from the New York Jets. The team will release the veteran quarterback and four-time league MVP after the new league year officially begins on Wednesday at 4 p.

Former Packers center Josh Myers has agreed to terms with the Jets on a one-year, $3.5 million deal, a source tells ESPN.

Tippmann has been the Jets' starter since entering the league, but Myers might have a slight advantage due to his relationship with newly-acquired quarterback Justin Fields who he was teammates with during their time together at Ohio State from 2018-2020.
