A tornado or two as well as gusty winds and large hail are possible with the storms that ignite. Gusty wind looks to be the main concern though, as well as frequent lightning. Scattered showers and thunderstorms developed early in the day Sunday and continue to work to the SE through the afternoon.

According to Severe Weather Outlook, a website that tracks severe weather potential, a mid-level low will track eastward over Georgia Monday while a positively tilted trough moves toward the Florida Peninsula. Meanwhile, at the surface, a cold front will progress southeastward across the Florida Peninsula.

There is the potential for severe weather across the southeastern parts of the United States over the next several days, including Louisiana, Alabama, Tennessee and Georgia. On Sunday, that severe weather threat will extend into both north and Central Florida.

Debris rained down outside as the meteorologist shouted: "Get under your desks, guys! Anchors—under your desks! Producers—everybody, get under your desks!"
