2021年1月2日 · Why do you want to migrate to a new case? R10 motherboard has a proprietary led controller that may contain front panel power switch. This pinout design is more difficult to decipher than previous gen of Dell motherboard.

Got really tired of the terrible thermals in the Aurora chassis so decided to do a complete case swap into the Inland X1 Mesh! When doing Timespy benchmark my average GPU temp was 84C and my average CPU temp was 95C. I originally swapped over everything from the original case, including the front I/O panel, and added nothing but PSU extensions.

2022年7月28日 · The 8930 case swap project has some key info on jumpers to the underside of the motherboard to stop the Disconnected cable EPSA messages. IO Shield from R5 works fine on the R10 board so you dont have to dremel the back of the old case for that. The final piece to the puzzle is the LED board connection which has the alienhead power switch.

My main question is do I have to do anything special to the SSD when putting it in my new board? I heard online that your supposed to wipe everything off the SSD boot drive when upgrading platforms.

You would need to mod it with wiring extensions. Also, you would need to hard mod the motherboard to bypass USB and case error code. Q. Is it worth my money and time to do a case mod? A.

2022年4月16日 · The R10 motherboard will not fit into a standard case because the IO shield does not confirm to the ATX case standard. If I am not mistaken the power button is not a standard either. You will have to modify the new case to make it fit, not a recommended option. Much better to get a retail motherboard and transfer the CPU and memory from the R10 ...
