The Enphase IQ Combiner 3 with Enphase IQ Gateway consolidates interconnection equipment into a single, smaller, single stud-mount enclosure and streamlines PV and storage installations by providing a consistent, pre-wired solution for residential applications.

It operates between the Enphase Microinverters and the Enphase Enlighten® web-based monitoring and analysis software. The Envoy functions as a gateway and monitors the microinverters that are connected to the PV modules. The Envoy collects energy and performance data from the microinverters over on-site AC power lines.

Like its name, the Envoy acts as a messenger between your microinverters and MyEnlighten. The Envoy collects energy production (and consumption if you have Envoy-S Metered) data over your home’s electrical wiring and then sends the collected data over the Internet to MyEnlighten so that you can monitor your system’s performance.

The Enphase Gateway™ is a communications gateway that collects information about how your system is performing and transmits that information over the Internet to MyEnphase. There are several different versions of the Gateway as pictured below.
