The Palmeral or Palm Grove of Elche (Spanish: Palmeral de Elche; Valencian: Palmerar d'Elx) is the generic name for a system of date palm orchards in the city of Elche, Spain.

The Palmeral de Elche is the largest palm grove in Europe. Although its presence dates from prehistoric times, it was in the Muslim period when it reached its greatest splendour, as the Muslims laid out the palm trees in the form of orchards and vastly improved their cultivation.

The Palmeral de Elche is an enormous palm grove located in the province of Alicante on the Costa Blanca coast. The city of Elche is situated just under 30 kilometres from Alicante and approximately 40 kilometres from La Mata.

The gateway to Hort dels Pontos, allows us to stroll down an avenue planted with tall palms leading to one of the last houses that retains a traditional structure. We then cross Curtidors street and we can marvel at the sight of some of the best-preserved concentrations of palm groves.
