The only health related issue that seahorses have regarding lights is the heat output. As long as the water temperature stays below 75 degrees, any aquarium light fixture can work. Codium has rounded branches and a spongy texture, perfect for a soft hitching post! The seahorses seem to only choose the fake plants if there are no other options.

2017年4月24日 · Much of it dissolves and is not caught. This can promote unsightly nuisance algae in addition to being problematic to the seahorse’s health. A large oversized protein skimmer is a very effective way of reducing the DOC. When it comes to seahorse tanks and purchasing a protein skimmer, I say the bigger the better!

2018年12月12日 · I have one of my seahorse tanks overloaded, but I have also had enough experience (learning the hard way, loosing seahorses) to know what I have to do to be successful, but also that I know I can keep it up permanently for the life of the seahorses involved in that tank. Life expectancy of standard seahorses runs 5-10 years when looked after.
