Lots of native plants get leggy and tall because they have way too many resources. In nature where they have evolved, they would be growing in a densely packed community of other native plants. When you go for a walk in a naturalized area, there’s not open soil in a prairie anywhere. so when you are planting native planting beds, make sure you densely pack your plants together.
